Visa - BUSINESS

 

REGULATIONS

·        Foreigners travelling to Brazil on business require this type of visa. Please note that this visa provides coverage mainly for business discussions.

·        Nationals of the following countries are visa exempted when travelling to Brazil for business discussions: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, The Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, The Philippines, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Sovereign Order of Malta, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Uruguay and The Vatican.

·        Passport should be valid for at least six months.

·        First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

·        Length of stay in Brazil can be up to 90 days, extendible to a further equal period, always at the discretion of the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF), and not exceeding 180 days in any twelve month period.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

·        Passport (the Consulate reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

·       One  application form, completed and signed by the applicant. (Application forms are available at the Brazilian Consulate).

·        One passport-size photograph.

·        A letter from the employer or institution to which the applicant is linked, informing the purpose and intended duration of the stay in Brazil and contacts to be maintained by the applicant.

·        Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see information enclosed).

CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

·        Consular fee  US$ 60.00 ( dollars)

·        All consular fees should be paid in cash (US dollars) at the Consulate

·        Nationals of certain countries require consultation with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations, prior to the issuing of their visas. In these cases processing time is a minimum of 15 days.

·        Processing time is eight  working days.
