REGULATIONS

Foreigners travelling to Brazil to give
emergency technical assistance will need
this type of visa.
·
This visa is issued under exceptional
circumstances,
in cases where an unexpected situation
has arisen which puts human lives or the
environment at immediate risk or which
interrupts production.
·
The length of stay is for 30 days only
and cannot be extended whilst the bearer
is in Brazil.
·
It can only be issued once every 3
months.
·
Passport should be valid for at least
six months.
·
First entry into Brazil must be made
within 90 days from the date the visa is
issued. It is the responsibility of the
applicant to make sure the application
is lodged accordingly.
·
Registration with the DPMAF soon after
arrival in Brazil. (For this purpose,
make sure you take the second copy of
your application form which will be
returned to you duly stamped by this
consulate.)
REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION
·
Passport (the Consulate reserves the
right not to endorse soiled, damaged or
defaced passports).
·
Two application forms, completed and
signed by the applicant.
·
Two passport-size photographs.
·
A letter from the employer in Bulgaria
indicating that the employee has the
necessary skills to deal with the
emergency and assuming full financial
responsibility for their employee whilst
in Brazil.
·
A letter from the Brazilian company, in
Portuguese, describing clearly the
emergency situation, which has prompted
the the application for this type of
visa; which technical skills are
required to attend the emergency
situation, as well as the name(s) of the
technician(s) indicated by the Bulgarian
company.
·
Certificate of Prosecution/Conviction
History or an equivalent document must
be produced. This certificate may be
requested at the Sofia Municipal
Tribunal of Justice. Note that it may
take two to eight days for the document
to be issued.

Certificate of vaccination, if necessary
(see enclosed information).
