Visa - MISSIONARY WORK

 

REGULATIONS

·         Foreigners travelling to Brazil as ministers or members of a religious order require this visa.

·         Passport should be valid for at least six months.

·         Applicants must have lived in Bulgaria for at least one year prior to the visa application.

·         First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

·         Registration with the DPMAF within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. (For this purpose, make sure you take the second copy of your application form which will be returned to you duly stamped by this consulate).

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

From the religious institution

·         Authenticated photocopy of the last minutes of incorporation of the religious institution in Brazil (Ata de Constituição).

·         Proof that the head of the religious order has legal authority to act on behalf of the order (Comprovante de poderes de representação legal de seu dirigente).

·         Notarised declaration of commitment assuming full financial responsibility for the applicant and dependants, including exit from the country (Compromisso da entidade no Brasil de manutenção e saída do território nacional do religioso chamado).

 

 

From the applicant

·         Passport (the Consulate reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

·         Two application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

·         Two passport-size photographs.

·         Certificate of Prosecution/Conviction . This document may be obtained at  a Reginonal Tribunal of Justice or at the Sofia Municipal Tribunal of Justice. Note that it may take up to 10 days for the document to be issued.

·         Curriculum Vitae.

·         Marriage or birth certificate (long form) of any dependant or any document which proves dependency.

·         Declaration of ordainment (or a document to that effect) or academic records which prove religious education or status.

·         Signed declaration from the applicant stating that he/she will only perform activities in native indian territory if authorised by the Brazilian National Indian Foundation (FUNAI).

·         Certificate of vaccination, if applicable (see enclosed information).

·         CONSULAR FEE:US$ 70.00    (dollars)

·         All consular fees should be paid in cash (US dollars) at the Consulate.
