Visa - NEWS CORRESPONDENTS

 

REGULATIONS

·         Foreigners travelling to Brazil as correspondents of the written and spoken press, as well as government and commercial press agencies require this type of visa.

·         The Press Office of the Brazilian Embassy in Sofia will request the approval for this visa in the ACS of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil. Once the request is approved, this Consulate will issue the visa.

·         Passport should be valid for at least six months.

·         First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

·         Registration with the DPMAF within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. (For this purpose, make sure you take the second copy of your application form  which will be returned to you duly stamped by this consulate).

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

·         Passport (the Consulate reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

·         Two application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

·         2 passport-size photographs.

·         Certificate of Prosecution/Conviction History .Certificate of Prosecution/Conviction . This document may be obtained at  a Reginonal Tribunal of Justice or at the Sofia Municipal Tribunal of Justice. Note that it may take up to 10 days for the document to be issued. 

·         Document proving the applicant will receive his/her income from a non-Brazilian source.

·         Certificate of vaccination, if applicable (see enclosed information).

Consular fee US$ 20.00 ( dollars)

All consular fees should be paid in cash (US dollars) at the Consulate.
