REGULATIONS
·
Foreigners travelling to Brazil to
attend graduation or post-graduation
courses - including theological and
technical studies - require a student
visa.
·
Nationals of the following countries are
visa exempted when travelling to Brazil,
if their stay does not exceed 90 days
and if they will not be receiving any
payment in the country: Austria,
Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, The
Philippines, Poland, Spain, and United
Kingdom.
·
Passport should be valid for at least
six months.
·
First entry into Brazil must be made
within 90 days from the date the visa is
issued. It is the responsibility of the
applicant to make sure the application
is lodged accordingly.
·
Applicants must have lived in Bulgaria
for at least one year prior to the visa
application.
·
Length of stay in Brazil can be of one
year, extendible at the discretion of
the DPMAF.
·
Registration with the DPMAF should be
made within 30 days of arrival in
Brazil. For this purpose, make sure to
take the second copy of the application
form which will be returned to you duly
stamped by this Consulate.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION
·
Passport (the Consulate reserves the
right not to endorse soiled, damaged or
defaced passports).
·
Two application forms, completed and
signed by the applicant.
·
Two passport-size photographs.
·
Letter from the Brazilian educational
institution confirming acceptance or a
place and duration of course.
·
Proof of financial means during the stay
in Brazil (It is illegal for the holder
of a student visa to work in Brazil).
·
Certificate of Prosecution / Conviction History. Certificate of
Prosecution / Conviction. This document
may be obtained at a Regional Tribunal
of Justice or at the Municipal Tribunal of Justice. Note that it may
take up to 10 days for the document to
be issued
